Anse Chastanet & Sugar Beach
Two Beaches, One Epic Adventure:
Double the Snorkelling, Double the Memories!
On your day of adventure, bask in the golden glow of the sun, sink your toes into cool, radiant sugar-fine sand, and immerse yourself in the shimmering, turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea. Between dips in the water, relax with a cool, refeshing beverage and savour the authentic flavours of the island with a delicious Creole chicken lunch served right on Sugar Beach.
For snorkelling enthusiasts, a world of underwater wonder awaits along the vibrant reef at Anse Chastanet and within the crystal-clear National Marine Reserve at Sugar Beach. These world-class sites offer effortless access from the shore to some of the Caribbean’s most vibrant ecosystems. Glide over bright coral gardens and massive barrel sponges as you’re swept up in a parade of Parrotfish, Sergeant Majors, and Trumpetfish. From the rhythmic dance of a Squid to the rare, heart-pounding thrill of spotting a Sea Turtle, the sheer abundance of life beneath the surface is guaranteed to leave you breathless.
Your adventure continues with a thrilling coastal tour along St. Lucia’s ruggedly beautiful shoreline. Get an upclose encounter at the mysterious Bat Cave. Reachable only by water, this hidden grotto invites you to see rare Fisherman Bats sweeping through the shadows. Hear the rapid-fire echoes of their chatter, and smell the deep, wild musk of a colony untouched by time. The excitement builds as you scout for the whimsical "fish on the rock" and glide past the colourful, fishing villages of Anse La Raye and Canaries. You’ll marvel at the Natural Bridge/Lady’s Slipper stone arch, famously featured in Pirates of the Caribbean—before reaching a breathtaking finale in the emerald waters of Marigot Bay. Often called the "most beautiful bay in the Caribbean," this historic "hurricane hole" has hidden everything from British warships to Hollywood stars. Soak in the same views that inspired Doctor Dolittle and Pirates of the Caribbean as you cruise past swaying palms and sleek super yachts in this cinematic paradise.
If you are dreaming of an exotic getaway to two of St. Lucia’s most picturesque shores, while experiencing some of the island’s most iconic coastal wonders, this is the adventure for you!
On your escape to Anse Chastanet and Sugar Beach, you’ll experience double the beauty, double the discovery, and double the memories to last a lifetime.

Pack for Paradise:Â Your Tour Essentials
To make the most of your St. Lucian adventure, we recommend bringing the following:
-
- Swimwear & Towel:Â For drying off after swimming or snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters of Sugar Beach and Anse Chastanet.
- Water Shoes: Highly recommended for the snorkeling areas at both Anse Chastent and Sugar Beach. While the main beach areas have soft sand, the designated snorkeling sides are part of the volcanic marine reserve; the shoreline and seabed can be very rocky and are home to sea urchins. Water shoes provide essential protection for a safe and comfortable entry into the water.
- Sun Protection:Â Reef-safe sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses to enjoy that "golden Caribbean sun."
- Camera or Smartphone with Waterproof Case: You don't want to miss capturing the "breathtaking scenery" of the Pitons from the water! A waterproof case or dry bag is essential for taking photos while snorkeling or keeping your phone safe from salt spray on the boat.
- Dry Clothes:Â A change of clothes for a comfortable ride back to your ship or hotel.
- Snorkeling Gear: Bring your own mask and snorkel for the best fit and hygiene. While gear can be rented for approximately $10 USD at both Sugar Beach and Anse Chastanet, bringing your own ensures you don't miss out if rentals are unavailable. Please note that rental gear must be returned to the vendor before departing to the next beach.
- Cash/Card:Â For any extra souvenirs or local treasures you find along the way.
