Land Adventure...
Trade the sea spray for the scents of the tropics as you step ashore in Soufrière, St. Lucia’s historic original capital. Relax in air-conditioned comfort as we journey through lush landscapes to see banana, coffee, cocoa, and cinnamon and learn how the Caribbean’s most famous exports are grown and harvested.

Experience nature’s most powerful therapy at St. Lucia’s iconic natural spa. Have fun slathering on volcanic mud—packed with natural sulfur and minerals that act as a deep exfoliant to detoxify and smooth your skin—before soaking in the soothing warmth of the geothermal pools. It’s an unforgettable "fountain of youth" experience that offers deep relaxation and a radiant body renewal.
Traveller's Note: Mineral-rich mud can cause staining to clothing; wearing dark-coloured swimwear is highly recommended.
- Option 2:Â Guided Volcano Tour (additional $10 USD/person)
Start your visit at the Interpretive Centre with an engaging 5-minute video presentation on the geology and history of the world’s only drive-in volcano. Following the video, a local expert will lead you along maintained trails to the main viewing platforms. From this safe vantage point, you’ll get a firsthand look at active sulfur vents, bubbling mud pools, and steaming geysers while learning about the island’s unique volcanic history.
Please note: These walking tours are conducted exclusively by site-authorized guides from the Soufriere Regional Development Foundation. Â To ensure you receive the full experience, please locate your volcano guide immediately after the video presentation.
After the geothermal heat of the volcano, a scenic drive through the historic town of Soufrière brings you to the cooling sanctuary of Toraille Waterfall and Gardens. Escape into this tropical oasis, where a majestic 50-foot cascade tumbles into a crystal-clear plunge pool. It’s the perfect place to submerge in refreshing waters and feel the invigorating rush of the falls—nature’s very own water massage.
Sea Adventure...
Experience a thrilling speedboat adventure and coastal tour, gliding along the beautiful aquamarine waters of the Caribbean Sea. Be sure to have your camera ready for all the idyllic sites to behold! Take in stunning vistas and lush, secluded coves only visible on water and let St. Lucia's dramatic and rugged coastline take your breath away!
See the quaint villages of Anse la Raye and Canaries, dotted with colourful fishing boats bobbing along its shores. Reinvigorate your senses at the Bat Cave, where you will see, smell and hear the screeching of Fisherman Bats. Observe such sites as the "fish on the rock" and marvel at the Natural Bridge/Lady's Slipper. This striking stone archway served as a backdrop in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl—it’s the very spot where a daring Captain Jack Sparrow salutes the skeletons of fallen pirates.

Lunch Included
An authentic take-out chicken Creole lunch is included in all full day adventures.Â
If arriving on a ship with an afternoon arrival or early afternoon departure time, lunch is excluded from the tour.
Beverages Included
A cooler stocked with cold beverages including bottled water, soda, local Piton beer and Spencer's famous rum punch will be provided. For the safety of our guests, no alcohol is to be consumed prior to snorkeling.
In order to provide a family-friendly touring experience; alcoholic beverages may be limited.
Minimum Tour Requirement
Our speedboat adventures require at least 10 adult participants to run. To reach this number, guests may share transportation with other Spencer Ambrose groups; this can include scheduled pickups or drop-offs. Additionally, we typically make a brief stop in Soufriere to restock ice for the cooler.
Additional Information
- Snorkel gear can be rented at Sugar Beach for $20 US; snorkeling fins can be rented for $10 US.
- The Sugar Beach Resort provides complimentary sun loungers available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Visit our FAQ page for more details.
- Based on availability, luxury-padded sun loungers can be rented from the Sugar Beach Resort for $100 US/chair.
- The snorkeling side at Sugar Beach is rocky. Water/beach shoes are highly recommended.
- Changing rooms and showers are available at the mud baths.
- This tour makes brief stops at points of interest to allow you to take photos and admire the views.
- For scheduling purposes and to avoid large crowds, the order of this tour itinerary may be changed.

While Spencer Ambrose Tours provides transportation and coordinates your visit, the guided walking tours of the Volcano are conducted by the Soufriere Regional Development Foundation. These guides are employees of the Foundation and are not affiliated with Spencer Ambrose Tours. We act solely as your transportation provider for this portion of the excursion and do not have direct oversight of the guided presentations.

- Fees: A non-refundable $1.30 USD online transaction fee per person will be added to your deposit.
- Balance: Your remaining tour balance is to be paid in US CASH on the day of the tour.

To make the most of your St. Lucian adventure, we recommend bringing the following:

- Swimwear & Towel:Â For your dip in the mud baths or the crystal-clear waters of Sugar Beach.
- Sun Protection:Â Reef-safe sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses to enjoy that "golden Caribbean sun."
- Sturdy Footwear: Comfortable walking shoes or water shoes for exploring the volcano, falls and beach.
- Camera or Smartphone with Waterproof Case: You don't want to miss capturing the "breathtaking scenery" of the Pitons from the water! A waterproof case or dry bag is essential for taking photos while snorkeling or keeping your phone safe from salt spray on the boat.
- Dry Clothes:Â A change of clothes for a comfortable ride back to your ship or hotel.
- Snorkeling Gear: Bring your own mask and snorkel for the best fit and hygiene. While gear can be rented for approximately $10 USD at Sugar Beach, bringing your own ensures you don't miss out if rentals are unavailable.
- Cash/Card:Â For any extra souvenirs or local treasures you find along the way.
