My family of 5 loved this trip. The staff was fun and the beaches were by far our favorite on our cruise. Great company and tour.

We were very surprised because we weren’t sure what to expect. BUT WHEN I TELL YOU EVERY THING WAS EXCELLENT FROM START TO FINISH. THE BOAT RIDE WAS GREAT THE STAFF TREAT US WITH RESPECT, WE LEFT OUR BAGS AND HAD NO WORRIES ABOUT STUFF BE STOLEN. THEY WERE FRIENDLY AND WE HAD DRINKS, BEER, RUM PUNCH AND GOOD LUNCH ALL INCLUDED. This excursion was the highlight of our entire trip. The day consisted of speedboat tours, bat caves, mud baths, island waterfall, creole lunch, the most incredible snorkeling, beach time, and watching cliff divers.

Our guide, Terry, was so knowledgeable and gave us information on the whole island. He took photos for our group, made us laugh, and made sure we had a great time. Spencer drove the boat, was extremely helpful and friendly.

Anyone who would give these guys less than a 5 star review were trying to have a bad day, which was nearly impossible with this group.
I would do this tour over and over again. There were 8 in our group and each of us agreed, this was the best excursion any of us had done… ever… and we’ve all traveled a lot.

We decided not to do the usual shore excursion through the cruise and just wing it today. We found Spencer’s Tours right away and so began the best day of our trip so far. The whole crew was welcoming and fun. They took care of us from start to finish. We saw all the best little harbors and coves on the way to and from the Pitons and Sugar Beach and then had 4 hours at the most beautiful beach I have yet to experience. Spencer’s boat was fast, comfortable and fun! If you find yourself in Castries, St. Lucia treat yourself to a tour with this great crew!

We wanted to visit Sugar Beach for the day in St. Lucia and booked the tour/transportation-only from our port to the beach with Spencer’s. They were easy to find at the entrance to the port with signage. After about 12 of us arrived, we got in the boat and headed out for the hour-long trip. We learned a ton along the way from the Spencer’s crew. Terry was a hoot and very knowledgeable about his island. He pointed out many interesting things along the way. We did make some stops before getting to Sugar Beach, but it was an enjoyable ride. You needed to hang on to your hats as it was very windy and a little bumpy on the way back. This was a much better way to get to Sugar Beach from the port than driving. Driving would have taken a lot longer. Do have one suggestion…we booked the “transportation only” tour, not the other tour that included other stops before the beach. That tour and price, included lunch and unlimited drinks. It was a little awkward that some on the boat got beverages, while those of us that didn’t want lunch and the other stops, didn’t. Would have been nice to have an option to pay extra for drinks for those of us that went only to the beach.

We loved our time at Sugar Beach, and the ride to and from was fun with the crew from Spencer’s. Would recommend this tour!

This excursion was exactly what I wanted: a fun fast boat ride to the beach that is closest to the Pitons. We brought our own snorkel gear and got right in when we arrived. There was SO much to see: schools of blue fish, yellow fish, lots of needle gar-type fish, tube sponges, coral & rocks, saw an eel (!), and some “sea robins” (strange-looking puffer-type fish). Got out and spread our towels on the nice soft white sand beach. They served us lunch (bbq plate) and handed out drinks. We snorkeled again on the other side, where it’s shallower for swimming. Still awesome — with grass on the bottom, where we saw little yellow fish and a small sea snake type of eel. The water is perfectly refreshing, so clear, warm enough for me to stay in (!). The boat ride back to port was a blast! Brianna and Lisa were wonderful keeping us entertained and handing out drinks. The captain and the other guy (Don ?) did a great job also. We would highly recommend this excursion with Spencer Ambrose. See you again!

I highly recommend booking with Spencer Ambrose Tours, specifically the Sugar Beach Break. Sugar Beach is absolutely breathtaking and the views of the Pitons from the beach are spectacular. The water is crystal clear, is great for snorkeling, and great for swimming. The lunch and drinks provided were very good as well. Communication from the time of booking up until the tour was very clear. The speed boat ride to the beach was great as the tour guide pointed out plenty of things about the island and we saw other towns and beaches along the way.

Additionally, Spencer and our tour guide were in communication with my fiancee before the tour to help plan a special proposal on the beach. Our tour guide went above and beyond and helped to capture our proposal with great pictures and videos. The day was so special and we will remember it forever. Our family of 6 all enjoyed the boat tour. We enjoyed the stops that were made along the way. St Lucia shoreline is gorgeous, we would not have seen the views if we hadn’t taken the tour. Brianna was so friendly and kind. Sugar Beach was amazing and we had plenty of time to enjoy. We would definitely recommend Ambrose Tours

We had a tour for 4 scheduled for pickup at the dock on Pigeon Island which is where our tender was supposed to be dropping us off. Unbeknownst to us (and our cruise ship initially) the dock was under repair and we were instead dropped off at The Moorings in Rodney Bay which is a COMPLETELY different location. Slightly panicked that we would not make our tour I was trying to figure out if we could easily taxi over to Pigeon Island. When we got off the tender and onto the dock at The Moorings Jiggy from Spencer Ambrose was actually waiting for us! He had seen the Pigeon Island dock was under repair and followed our tender over in a boat to The Moorings. We were so impressed and relieved. We ended up having another 4 from our ship who were on the tender with us decide to join us for the day and we had a terrific time in the mud baths, waterfall and on Sugar Beach. The “boxed” lunch we were served was terrific (jerk chicken, piece of lasagna, rice and beans, cole slaw, plantains). Great job : )

Such an amazing day experiencing Saint Lucia with Giggie and Dan the Man. From the speed boat ride, to the mud baths, to the waterfall and then our lunch, beverages swimming at the beach. Beautiful, beautiful island. Lots of information from Giggie about the island’s history and attractions and even his riddles and jokes. The beverages flowed at the beach and on our return trip to the port. So much laughter. Even though Giggie was there to help, it was a little difficult and scary for me to board and get off the boat. Only thing that would have made it better would have been music on the boat. Needed music to complete the package.
